This page explains how to request deletion of your Movoright Driver account and the associated data, what is erased, and what the law requires us to keep.
1. Who can request deletion
- You, for the account issued to you.
- Your employer, who administers the company’s accounts and can carry out the operation from their management console.
2. How to make the request
Write to [email protected] with “Account deletion” in the subject line.
In your message, please state:
- the email address associated with your account,
- the name of your employer,
- and whether you are requesting deletion of your account, of your data, or both.
We may need to verify your identity before acting, so that a third party cannot have your account deleted in your place. You will receive a reply within thirty days at the latest.
3. What is erased
- Your email address and name, replaced with an anonymous value.
- Your phone number and profile picture.
- Your password and, where applicable, your two-factor authentication secret.
- Your open sessions and notification subscriptions, on all your devices.
- The history of your previous passwords.
Access to the application is revoked immediately: you can no longer sign in.
4. What is kept, and why
Some data cannot be erased on request: the law requires it to be kept. It is then dissociated from your identity, which was neutralised in the previous step.

Your location readings are not covered by these obligations: they are deleted under the ordinary rules — within 90 days of the trip being closed, and 12 months at most after they were recorded.
Backups. The service is backed up every day and those backups are kept for 30 days. Data erased at your request may therefore remain in a backup for up to 30 days after erasure, then disappears along with it. It is not reintroduced into the service during that period.
